How to Protect iPhone Against Apps

Apple is known for its high standards in terms of privacy and data security however iPhones still fall victim to hackers. Criminals can elude sensitive information through stealing it from iPhone apps that collect this data on a daily bases. This includes browsing history photos, passwords, images and current location.

The simplest way to protect your iPhone against malware is by ensuring that you use a secure passcodeone that you can remember and not record somewhere (you should be doing this anyway). Another good idea is to disable the ability to show notification content on the lock screen, that will stop strangers from gleaning personal info without unlocking your phone.

If you want to go a step farther then you can use the Screen Time feature to create a custom alphanumeric passcode, or disable access to your 4-digit numeric passcode. This makes it harder for a burglar to the passcode. You can also activate the function to erase all information from your iPhone after 10 unsuccessful passcode attempts. This will render your iPhone inaccessible to thieves however, it could still be useless to you if you are unable to access iCloud photos or other content.

Consider installing a reputable mobile security app such as Clario. It can alert you to malicious sites, protect your identity from theft on Instagram and other social networks, block potentially harmful and annoying ads, increase your privacy by using a VPN, and more.
